On the job training experience

4:06 AM

I took my on the jo training at the Baguio water district for 3months and half. It was very challenging experience. Because I didn't meet my expectations! The place is too dusty, crowded, a lot of files to be arranged  and too much male workers in the room where I was assigned.

Anyway, our boss instructed us to arrange the files alphabetically; encode the missing names; and clean the storage room. It's easy when you hear it, right? But when you do it. It's difficult and very tiring task.

The thousands of files to be arrange!

How we arrange the files

With my co- interns

With our baldy boss

With Ma'am Joy. Who is in-charge of observation.

Reason why I accepted to have my ojt in this company; it's because it is the only company accepting Muslim interns and the employees are so friendly. They respect me as a Muslim and they didn't bother to ask me about the scarf on my head. No discrimination. Unlike other companies, pina- asa lang nila ako and they let me wait for nothing. As in, I was the only one who starts an OJT very late. They will always look for a no- sense reason to avoid hiring a Muslim in their company. Duuuhhhh!

I think this is one of the disadvantages of studying or taking an OJT in a non- Muslim places.
